1.Accept a work site
only if you intend to keep it for the duration of the internship.
2. Report to work at the scheduled time and remain there until scheduled to leave. If unavoidably detained or unable to work,
notify your employer immediately.
3. Honesty is a necessary workplace skill. Recognize that your actions reflect on your school and on the internship program.
4. Do not receive personal visitors at your work site and do not make or receive unnecessary personal telephone calls.
5. Strive to do your best work. Do not do “just enough to get by”.
6. Conduct yourself in a polite/professional way. Speak in your professional
voice.
7. Be neat in appearance, and dress appropriately for the work site and/or task your are to perform.
8. Consult with the internship teacher before resigning if you believe that your studies, family, physical health, or moral well being is in jeopardy due to any of the internship requirements.
9. Maintain confidentiality. There will be information that privileged to your particular site.
10. Follow all work rules and observe all health and safety regulations.
11. Be careful to not participate in any activity that would be considered a conflict of interest.
